Kes Harper
maker | jeweller | teacher

Gleaned is the sustainable jewellery collection designed & made by Kes Harper in her off grid solar studio.

Playing on the historical meaning of 'gleaned' Kes uses found or discarded materials & steel tins turning them into decorative jewellery & artworks.

Turning our attention to reuse and gleaning, her jewellery captures the otherwise unseen details of the everyday, often framing them in sterling silver, wrapped in intrigue of their origin.

Gleaned jewellery is elegant, contemporary and industrial in style.

Studio Gleaned in historic Wollombi NSW closed its doors in April 2024. This cool little artspace opened its doors early 2019 in one of the town's oldest ( and most photographed) buildings.

Although the funky restored timber studio is now closed, work by Kes Harper still goes on! See her work online, at Gallery shops around Australia or watch for news of markets & exhibitions.

Kes spent 5 wonderful years here through bushfires, floods and pandemic, opening & closing her doors with her natural good humour and authentic spirit that survived anything thrown at her. Kes is grateful for the enjoyment and support of fellow gleaners & visitors.
